Visionaries are your main source of Residuum in Deathloop. Arranging by number will make finding duplicates much easier. Arranging by newest puts items that require Infusion (marked by the hourglass) at the top. Press L2 to arrange your menus by newest, effect, number, cost, or value. Since you can’t equip the same Character Trinket twice, it’s wise to sacrifice all your duplicates. You can also sacrifice items to harvest their Residuum. Highlight the item you wish to Infuse and then hold X. Thankfully, every fallen Visionary earns you 10,000 Residuum, so you can always infuse their Slabs when you pick up a new one. Each item has a different Residuum cost based on rarity, with Slabs being the most expensive at 10,000 Residuum each. While in Colt’s tunnel, go to the loadout screen and select Infuse Gear.Īnything marked with an hourglass symbol will be lost when the loop resets unless you infuse it. Residuum doesn’t carry over between loops, so make sure to spend what you have on any items you wish to keep. You’ll infuse items from inside Colt’s tunnel (between times of day) and when you return at night (before the loop resets). ![]() He can die a second time and return to both bodies to pick up any Residuum he was carrying, so don’t be upset if you don’t make it back to your first death site. If he dies permanently and resets the loop, all that Residuum will be lost. When Colt dies (and rewinds), he’ll have to return to his body and reclaim the Residuum he was carrying. Weapon jamming also becomes a thing of the past, as the better tier weapons you’ll now find and infuse will never jam. Now you don’t have to worry about finding new weapons every loop. However, once you complete this mission, you’ll unlock Infusion, thus thrusting you into the actual game. Since there isn’t a “main Wenjie,” you can’t just run down to her quarters and kill her. The same goes for any slab upgrades, trinkets or special guns that you find in Deathloop. Players should focus on infusing slabs that they earn from killing Visionaries, as this will unlock those powers permanently so they can be used in future runs. It will be marked on your map once you come back to life so the deposit is easy to retrieve. ![]() When Colt dies and uses a Reprise charge, he will also leave behind a massive Residuum stain that you can retrieve, kind of like Dark Souls. You can also sacrifice the excess items in your inventory to earn enough Residuum to infuse a key item in the infusion menu between runs. They will emit that slick chromatic gas and make noise when you get close, so they’re hard to miss. As you walk through the maps you should also be on the lookout for small Residuum deposits emanating from random items. The main way you can earn Residuum is by killing Visionaries, as they leave behind huge deposits of Residuum that Colt can harvest. With that in mind, you’re going to need a lot of Residuum to infuse your favourite Deathloop items. Item rarity will affect the amount of Residuum you need to infuse a piece of kit. The items you can infuse include weapons, trinkets, slabs and slab upgrades. Now that you’ve unlocked Infusion, every time you return to the tunnels after completing tasks in a district you’ll be prompted to infuse the items in your inventory.
